The company provides the customer interface for regulated companies including Ireland’s leading utilities. As such it has a huge hiring requirement but one that goes through major peaks and troughs. M3S provides the expertise required to secure the best emerging talent.

 

 

The client

This client is a business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider specialising in bespoke operational management and business solutions for clients across a broad range of sectors. These cut through complexity, making it easier for customers to access services, in particular within regulated markets such as utilities.

The challenge

The company took the strategic decision to outsource talent acquisition, enabling its HR team to focus on learning and development and supporting the general HR needs of the business. The company needed to attract junior talent for a range of customer advisory and support roles across all departments at offices in Cork.

When the company secures a new BPO contract it often needs to ramp up staffing at very short notice and with a fast turnaround.

The solution

Over the course of almost a 20-year partnership, M3S had developed a profound understanding of the company’s business and corporate culture, as well as the nuances involved in supporting each of the company’s numerous clients. M3S has continued to deliver the best graduate hires in a highly competitive market throughout this partnership.

Pre-screening of graduate applicants enabled M3S to eliminate applicants who were ineligible for open positions or were clearly unsuitable.

Onsite interviews can also form part of the solution. M3S’ strong ties with third-level education institutions accelerated this process.

One particular short-notice, fast-turnaround recruitment project involved sourcing students for a staff augmentation programme to deliver an outsourcing project for a large public utility. M3S conducted a campaign in close collaboration with some of the leading educational institutions, with interviews conducted onsite in four locations to optimise accessibility to the widest pool of talent.

M3S met the company’s requirement to source 150 temporary part-time staff within one month to meet an urgent 10-week deadline. We managed the full end-to-end recruitment process from attraction through recruitment to on-boarding, working in two four-week to ensure suitability for the role.
